OUR MANAGEMENT TEAM
Letitia is based in our Emerald office and overseas all of the Companies operations. Working alongside husband Kurt for over ten (10) years, Letitia brings to the company a wealth of Management and Marketing experience. Letitia is currently the Qualified Business Person for the company’s Electrical Contractors Licence. Spending many of her formative years in Tieri Letitia has an ingrained understanding of the local community.
In addition to her corporate life, Letitia is a busy working mother to four children that are very active in the local sporting community. She is a keen animal lover and is a talented Mixed Media Artist.
With a Vast Experience in Electrical and Refrigeration, Kurt brings a wealth of both practical, hands on experience as well as over ten (13) years business experience. Kurt has a strong mining background and has been providing quality labour hire employees to local mining ventures since 2005.
Kurt was raised in Collinsville and Tieri where he spent most of his earlier years. He went on to be schooled at Toowoomba Grammar School before following his father into the mining industry by completing his Electrical Apprenticeship at Oaky Creek Coal. Kurt relocated to Emerald upon the completion of his apprenticeship and as such has a very strong understanding of the challenges faced by both business and employees in the region. His trade background gives him the added benefit of being able to provide practical, hands on guidance to his staff.
Kurt has been responsible for the project management of a number of large scale projects in the region and currently maintains several large servicing contracts in the region that are valued in excess of $1,000,000 each. Kurt is married with four (4) children that all attend local schools and the family is heavily involved in community projects and sporting groups. The family has a strong interest in Rugby League and Karate and Kurt co-founded the Emerald Karate Academy in 2015 and has coached Rugby League for the past several years in club and at Representative level.
Our Administration and HR Manager has over twenty (20) years’ experience in the industrial administration, accounting and HR fields. Katie has specific contract mining employment experience and has previously held HR positions that have been responsible for the recruitment, on boarding and ongoing management of over 200 contract trade and operating employees in the Open Cut Mining industry. In addition to this, she has been actively involved in the development and implementation of our Quality Management System.
Katie is a long-term resident of Emerald and is married with two (2) children both attending local high school. She has recently returned to study and is the process of completing her Diploma in Quality Auditing to further support the business’s commitment to Quality Management Systems.
Our Projects Manager brings with him over 18 years of ICT experience. Chris was employed by Queensland Government where he performed various ICT and management roles across regional Queensland. He has lead and managed various End User teams and has vast experience in IT Service Management. In recent times Chris coordinated ICT project delivery and End User ICT training for a decentralised – geographically dispersed government agency. Projects included hardware refresh programs and telephony upgrade projects in the Unified Communication discipline. Amongst other qualifications, Chris possesses a Diploma in Project Management and certification in ITIL®. Chris was born and raised in Barcaldine where he attended local schools. Upon finishing school, Chris completed an IT traineeship at the Department of Transport and Main Roads where he began his journey in the ICT field. He then obtained jobs for the department in Rockhampton before moving to Emerald in 2000 where he met his wife and begun a family. Chris is father to two (2) high school aged boys and is very much involved with their schooling and leisure activities. Chris is also an avid musician, singing and playing various instruments for live music acts in the area.
